Over the next few weeks there are going to be some huge changes to the Facebook platform and, tied to that, the games that we produce. Firstly, notifcations are to be removed and replaced with a \'Dashboard\' system that aims to give users easy access to all of their Facebook Applications. This is aimed at games in particular and should result in a simple way of communicating with users. There is, however, a worry that by removing notifications Facebook are starving developers of what has, historically, been a great way of updating and re-engaging with users.

In addition an addition permission will be integrated which allows developers access to the primary email address of any given user. Again, this changes the way in which communications are sent out and places the emphasis on developers - something which I personally think aims to reduce stress on Facebook\'s API. If it results in less issues, fantastic... we\'ll see.

So, with all that being the case, what is Hidden Pixel doing about it? At the moment, nothing, as we aren\'t yet able to test Facebook\'s new additions... but as soon as we are we\'ll be using them. It always seems that those who get ahead of the rest when new features roll out are able to capitalise best.
